Off-road driver
His trophy room is a warehouse. The five-time Baja 1000 overall winner (2007, 2014-15-16, 2021) is one of the most accomplished drivers in off-road history. The Las Vegas native has won more than 200 events and 20 championships, across every major sanctioning body: SCORE, SNORE (Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts), CORR (Championship Off-Road Racing), High Desert Racing Association (HDRA), SODA, Best in the Desert (BITD), Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) and the Mickey Thompson Entertainment Group (MTEG) Thunder Truck title. MacCachren also competed in the 2013 Stadium Super Truck series, where he finished second in the championship behind SST founder Robby Gordon. Son of an off-road racer, MacCachren started on dirt bikes, winning the 1973 Nevada State Motorcycle Championship at eight years old. At 17, he was SNORE Driver of the Year and Nevada Motorsports Writers Association Rookie of the Year. MacCachren was inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2011 and is a three-time member of the American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association All-America Team.
