Journalist, tuner, constructor, team owner
Cameron is one of motorcycle racing’s foremost authors and historians. He is renowned for his ability to convey technical information understandably with a dry sense of humor. A race tuner in the ‘70s and ‘80s, Cameron started working for Cycle magazine in 1973. After Cycle World absorbed it in 1991, he continued as an editor. In that capacity, he has produced an array of popular “Questions With Kevin Cameron” YouTube videos on subjects like How Does A Motorcycle Gearbox Work? He’s also written many books about motorcycle racing, performance and engineering, including Classic Motorcycle Race Engines, The Grand Prix Motorcycle: The Official History, Four-Stroke Motocross and Off-Road Motorcycle Performance Handbook and Top Dead Center 2: Racing and Wrenching with Cycle World's Kevin Cameron. Said SuperbikePlanet.com’s Dean Adams, “Cameron is easily one of the most well-read and well-known motojourno scribes on the planet. His column, TDC, is read each month by everyone who fancies himself a serious mover or shaker or even serious enthusiast.”
