Official Nomination Bio

The original California Kid, Mulder beat offroad champion and 2024 inductee Bud Ekins at age 15. At 16, Mulder won the nationally renowned Big Bear Hare & Hound over more than 500 riders. Beginning his AMA professional career at 18, Mulder is credited with winning six AMA District 37 championships. In 1965 he captured the Grand National championship TT at Peoria. A year later he became the only racer in AMA history to win the coveted TT “Triple Crown.” Retired from professional racing in the mid-‘70s, Mulder won the vintage motorcycle class at the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb nine times. Later, Mulder founded the popular West Coast Vintage Dirt Track Series. Amazingly, Mulder never broke a bone in all his years of competition. In Clint Eastwood’s “Magnum Force,” Mulder jumped a police bike 134 feet across two aircraft carriers, then launched himself and the motorcycle into the ocean 80 feet below. Eddie doubled for many stars over the years including Evil Knievel. He was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame in 1999.
